As the sun was setting, I was walking around the pier, looking for something to capture my eye. The lighting, shadows, and shimmery, glazed reflections not only captured my eye, but enthralled me! I was so in love with the scene, that I took at least 100 shots in continuous mode, hoping to capture the perfect combination. I really wanted to represent the full magnificence of the scene, and was very pleased with the result. It's topped off by a bonus of what appears to be a heart, reflected in the sand from the sun.
A glorious display of sunset colors, painted across the sky and water, with the sun setting behind the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Taken from Vermont looking across Lake Champlain.
This scene caught my eye walking out of the Nuview Library in Nuevo, CA. Not only was the sky a gorgeous combination of pink/blue/yellow/orange/purple/red, but I enjoyed the vast open country field (a rare sight in highly populated Southern California), as well as the thick layer of mist hovering over the fields and the foot of the mountains. Ramona Expressway wraps around the large mountain on the right side in the distance. I was happy to see the single light visible in the final edit from the small building adding an extra element to the photo. The building is part of the Nuevo fire dept.
